An episode which aired in October 1955.Pretty much typical Jimmy Durante, some good old fashioned song and dance, and shit kicking humor. An interesting but somber note. The guest on this show is Carmen Miranda. The show was recorded on August 3,1955.During taping,Carmen suffered a mild heart attack, but it wasnt detected as such at the time. She went on to complete the show. Two days later,on August 5th,she expired of a massive heart attack,at age 46.So the show didnt actually air until after her...

Never heard of this brand,I dont think. But is kinda funny.Has a pretty catchy tune, and pokes fun at fat people as well.Must be from the 1960s,cause it contains Sucaryl, which was cyclamate. Was banned in about 1970,due to potential health risks.Too bad, because Cyclamate was the best tasting of those crappy artificial sweeteners.

A few ads from the 1950s and 1960s,back when my father would go out of his way to patronize the station with 18 cent a gallon gasoline, instead of going to the closer one and paying 21 cents a gallon.

Mid 60s ad campaign.Coke has had many successful commercials,Teach the World To Sing,Have A Coke and A Smile, etc.,but to me,none of those others can touch this one.Music by the Limeliters. These ads are one of the reasons why I picked Coke over Pepsi, whose ads of the same period sucked.

Old television ad with Art Linkletter and his daughter Diane, before she started dropping acid and thinking she was Peter Pan."We can fly,we can fly,we can FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY".Her death was considered a tragedy, but Art became such an anti LSD demagogue that he kind of turned it into a joke.

An episode of the NBC daytime show from December 1954.Pretty simplistic format, some singing, some light hearted banter. This episode is from Monday, which is wish day.Today,Betty grants the wish of Ralph Richardson,a 10 year old Negro boy.

Late 40s - early 50s panel show. Was one of those shows that aired on all 4 networks at some point. The great majority of it's run was on Dumont.Only time I ever heard of the show was in a Honeymooners episode, where Ralph is threatening to punch his wife Alice.

A 1953 episode of the epic soap opera.Have this on my Dailymotion page, has been pretty popular on there,so am posting it here. This show was Don Knotts first regular television role. Also appearing is Cliff Hall, whom I know best as the Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler of the Raccoon Lodge in the Honeymooners. Also a regular on this show was George Petrie, also a regular Honeymooners character. But he isnt in this episode.

Years ago, before you could find a million books, and thousands of web pages about the Three Stooges, would try to find information on the various members. When searching for Moe Howard, often got results for Joe Howard.I knew Moe,but not Joe.Never did know Joe until I picked up this show.Kind of a nice, charming little show from the infancy of television, and actually enjoyable. So here it is,the Gay 90's Revue, with Joe Howard, not Moe Howard. So dont just know Moe,get to know Joe!
